As from 1st October 2008, the rate for the National Minimum Wage is now

             £5.73 an hour               over 21

             £4.77 an hour              18 - 21

             £3.53 an hour               16 - 17.

The accommodation offset, that is, the maximum that the employer can take from your pay before working out whether you are being paid the minimum wage has been increased to £31.22 per week, equivalent to £4.46 a day.
